Welcome to CCS Rohan
Back in March of 2008, our Arabian mare Mystique gave birth to a lovely filly by Ecuador, we named her CCS Rohan.
Sadly Mystique did not recover from the birth and died 4 days later. So poor little Rohan was an orphan. We borrowed a wonderful mini horse from Angela Shipplett (thanks Angela) and Wilbur became Rohans companion and mentor. We were very worried about Rohan, because sometime orphan foals esp those that young have trouble learning to drink from a bucket, but those Knabstrupper genes came through, Ro drinks like a trooper! She never missed a meal! Many thanks to the devoted nursing and care by Alison Frei and Ellen Maddox, Ro is now a big beautiful girl. She has been slow to get her spots however, but finally she is starting to roan out. With her pure bred Arabian mama, and Ecuador for a father, she can’t help but be beautiful, and she such a lovely mover and with a tiny Arabian head!
In August 2008, Rohan went to the Region 1 Arabian show, where she showed in the Part-bred Arabian Sporthorse fillies of 2008 class. She went to the show with her good buddy Wilbur! Wilbur was the hit of the show, he got far more attention than Ro ever did, even though she got the blue.
Ethan Wandless and Alison were the handlers for these two companions during their big adventure!
